Italian Greyhound-size dogs are thought to have existed since early Egyptian times, but the Romans perfected the breed, which they valued as companions. Throughout history, the IG has been prized by royalty and nobility. The IG was recognized by the United Kennel Club in 1948.
AIGC held its first UKC
show October 12, 2007.
While limited to five
breeds, we had an
outstanding entry of
43 dogs, who strutted
their stuff under the
watchful eye of noted
UKC judge,
Lisa Enriquez.
